# Magic Host chat

> An AI host that answers visitors' questions by text or voice, shares content, and can book a meeting.

Magic Host chat is an AI host that greets visitors, answers questions from your company's knowledge, shows slides or other content, and can help a visitor book a meeting. Visitors can chat by text, or talk to it by voice.

## Where visitors find it

* **On a website**: a chat launcher added with Scoot's embed script.
* **By link**: a direct chat link. If the link is wrong or the agent is turned off, the page says "This agent isn't available."

## How visitors use it

1. Click the chat launcher, or open the chat link.
2. Type in **Ask me anything...**, or choose voice.
3. For voice, the visitor is asked for microphone access first. Scoot shows a notice before the voice session starts and plays a spoken notice that they are talking with an AI assistant.
4. The host can show slides in the chat, and can help the visitor book a meeting.
5. Click **Close chat** to close the panel.

## Privacy and consent

The chat shows a footer that links to Scoot's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Before a voice or video session, the visitor must accept a notice that the session may be recorded and processed.
