# Raise your hand and Q&A

During a presentation, Q\&A lets attendees raise their hand to ask a question. Hosts and presenters see a queue of raised hands and choose who speaks next.

## Turn on Q\&A (hosts and presenters)

Q\&A is one of the **Audience Participation** options for a presentation. Choose **Queued Q & A** when you start the presentation, or later in the presentation's audio settings.

With **Queued Q & A**, attendees push to ask questions for everyone to hear, and the questions are queued.

The other **Audience Participation** options are:

* **Single Push to Speak**: one attendee at a time can speak to the whole room.
* **Many Push to Speak**: several attendees can speak at the same time.
* **No Audience Participation**: no one in the audience can speak to the presenter.
* **Open Audience Participation**: everyone can speak to the presenter.

## Raise your hand (attendees)

1. When Q\&A is on, click **Raise Hand** in the toolbar. The tooltip reads **Raise your hand to ask a question.**
2. The button changes to **Lower Hand**. Click it if you change your mind.
3. When a host accepts your hand, you can speak to the room. Click **Stop Speaking** when you're done.

## Manage raised hands (hosts and presenters)

Raised hands appear in the chat panel, in the **Q\&A** section under **Raised Hands**. The number next to the heading shows how many people are waiting.

* Click the check mark next to a name to let that person speak.
* Click the X to decline.
* Click **Disable Q\&A** to turn Q\&A off.
