# Using Reactions in Scoot

## This article explains how to use the Reactions feature in Scoot to display emojis on your bubble and during presentations to share non-verbal feedback.

### Accessing the Reactions Menu

**Description:** The Reactions feature allows you to quickly express emotions or provide feedback using a selection of emojis. These emojis are displayed on your user bubble within the Scoot room and, during presentations, as floating animations over the presentation content.

**Location of Controls:** The Reactions button is located in the lower right-hand portion of your screen. The icon looks like a smiley face with a plus sign.

**Usage Instructions:**

1. Locate the smiley face with a plus sign (+) icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen.

2. Click on this icon to open the Reactions menu.

3. A panel displaying a list of available emojis will appear.

### Selecting and Displaying Reactions

**Description:** Once the Reactions menu is open, you can choose an emoji to display. The behavior of the reaction will differ slightly depending on whether you are in a presentation or just in the general Scoot room.

**Usage Instructions (Mingle Mode):**

1. Open the Reactions menu.

2. Click on the emoji that represents your desired reaction.

3. The selected emoji will be briefly displayed on your user bubble within the Scoot room.

**Usage Instructions (During a Presentation):**

1. Open the Reactions menu.

2. Click on the emoji that represents your desired reaction.

3. The selected emoji will Be:

   * Briefly displayed next to your user bubble in the participant list (if visible).

   * Float upwards on the left-hand side of the presentation screen, making it visible to all participants without obstructing the main content.

   * Also be briefly displayed on your user bubble within the gallery view

### Common Use Cases for Reactions

**Description:** Reactions provide a non-disruptive way to engage and communicate during meetings and presentations.

**Common Uses:**

* **Applause:** Expressing appreciation for a speaker or content.

* **Raised Hand** : Indicating a desire to ask a question or speak.

* **Heart React:** Showing agreement, support, or positive sentiment.

* **Other Emojis** : Conveying a range of emotions or quick feedback without interrupting the flow of the conversation or presentation.
