# Managing users (admins)

Admins add people to the Scoot account, assign licenses and roles, and remove users from the **Users** page.

## Open the Users page

Select **Admin** in the top navigation, then **Users**.

The page shows **Available licenses** (for example, 3 out of 10). To buy more, click **PURCHASE MORE LICENSES**, which opens an email to support.

There are two tabs:

* **Registered Users**: people who have joined the account. Columns include **Users**, **Email**, **Role**, and **License Type**.
* **Pending**: people who have been invited but have not registered yet.

## Invite users

1. Click **Invite**. The **Invite Users** dialog opens.
2. Under **Emails**, enter one or more email addresses.
3. Choose a **ROLE**: **Admin** or **Member**.
4. Choose a **LICENSE**: **Basic** or **Licensed**. If you see **You don't have enough licenses**, you need more licenses before inviting licensed users.
5. Click **Invite**.

## Upload users from a CSV file

1. Click **Upload**. The **Upload Users From CSV File** dialog opens.
2. Download the example file from the **here** link and fill it in. The format is First Name, Last Name, Email, Title, Location Name, Department Name, and Team Name. First Name, Last Name, and Email are required.
3. Click **Upload CSV File** and choose your file.
4. Review the list and confirm.

Uploaded users appear in the **Pending** tab until they register.

## View or edit a user

Click a user's row to open their details.

* **INFO** shows their **Email**, **Role**, **Location**, **Department**, and **Team**. Click the edit icon to change their role (**Basic** or **Admin**), location, department, or team, then click **Save**.
* **LICENSES** shows their license.

## Manage pending invites

On the **Pending** tab, open a row's three-dot menu to **Resend Invite** or **Cancel Invite**.

## Remove a user

On the **Registered Users** tab, open a row's three-dot menu and select **Remove**, or **Remove and Block** to stop them rejoining.

## Locations, departments, and teams

Some accounts can manage the lists of locations, departments, and teams under **User Properties**. Each list can be uploaded from a CSV file and edited with **Edit** and **Remove**.
